I had a nice confinement
nanny to help out after the birth of our 3rd baby Timmy. I
requested
that she come only during the daytime from 9am to 6pm, which means she
doesn't stay overnight at our place. During this time, she would
help bathe the baby, take care of the baby, and cook 2 meals of lunch
&
dinner. This included traditional confinement foods, tonics &
soups for me - the postnatal mother & food for the whole
family.
She would leave only after bathing the baby for the evening and having
cooked for the evening meal. As we have a housemaid, we did not
need
her to help clean up the house nor do washing & ironing, but this
can
be requested for. I understand that she may no longer be working
as a confinement nanny. You might be able to get the help of some
employment agencies specialised in such services to help you find
help.
