Sling Carrying Instructions: [Cradle Hold]  [Snuggle Hold]  [Lying Down [Hip Carry [Kangaroo [Piggy Back

CRADLE-HOLD (Newborn onwards)

You may use either arm or either shoulder interchangeably.  For purposes of easier illustration, we have used the arm/shoulder that is seen in the photos in the descriptions.

STARTING BASICS
T1) Loop the Tail through 2 rings.
Then put over the nearest ring, and under the next.  Spread the tail evenly around the rings

T2) Put Sling with label & rings facing front on one shoulder.
T3) Pass the Sling OVER your head to rest on the other shoulder, so that the sling is slung diagonally over your body.

This shoulder portion should rest nicely and broadly over your shoulder for even weight distribution while carrying your child.

T4) Ensure that the back portion of the sling fabric is not twisted but evenly spread with the edges roughly parallel.

STEPS FOR CRADLE HOLD

C1). Prepare Sling pouch.  Pull  inner edge of sling pouch from the back to the front, across your chest just below your breasts.

C2) Cradle baby in your arms with baby's head near the sling's rings.  Carry baby against the inner edge of the sling.  Pull outer edge of the sling and wrap this outer edge around baby, bringing all extra fabric to the side of the rings.

C3) Confirm  that inner edge of sling pouch is against your chest.

Once again, make sure that all extra fabric is brought towards the side of the rings and adjust size of pouch by pulling very gently on the tail.

Adjust the outer and inside edges of the sling pouch to make sure the fit is snug.  Do support baby while adjusting tail at the rings .

C4) You may wish to wrap the extra tail fabric around the rings to ensure that baby's head does not knock against the rings.

Do note that in this Cradle position, the baby’s body is encased by the cloth, but his face should be not covered by carrier cloth while in the baby carrier.

And now you are all ready to face the world
with a newborn baby !

Note that your child should be around waist level and no lower.  Any lower, and you will feel back stra
