I have made delicious Chewy Chocolate Chip cookies (very easy!) and those simple cookies where the children can use cookie cutters with and put delightful sprinkles on. I will share these recipes later - look out for them.
Meanwhile, from my memory, here's some easy ones that your children will enjoy participating in, and also to teach the slightly older ones to become self-sufficient!!!
GRILLED CHEESE TOAST
1 slice cheese (I love
Kraft!)
1 slice bread
Put slice of cheese on bread and put in toaster oven for 3 minutes until the bell *tings*! A quick & easy snack.
"EGG SANDWICH
1 Egg, cracked and put
into
a Microwave egg cooker.
Put in Microwave on high for
50 seconds. Take out and mash with butter (my daughter's
favourite
style) or with Mayonnaise. Then put on bread and it'd be a nice
delicious
hot sandwich!
If you make 1 or 2 of these easy sandwiches and add a soup, you can have a nice lunch! Even a sandwich and a drink would be good. Now you won't say you don't have enough time to make yourself nutritious meals!
"PIZZA NIGHT
Have you seen those toaster-oven size Pizza dough bases? You can get them from NTUC or most supermarkets. S$2.30 for a pack of 2 pieces. You will also need Tomato paste, mozarella cheese and whatever other ingredients you might want. We usually have:
Tomato paste
Grated cheese
Bell Pepper - red &
green,
chopped
Onions - chopped
Garlic, chopped
Sausages, sliced
Pineapple, chopped
Mushrooms, sliced
Put all in little bowls and then the kids can choose what they want on top their pizza. When done, put in toaster oven for 5 to 8 minutes. And there you'd have a nice tasty hot melt-in-your mouth fresh pizza! The kids really love to eat what they make!
